How does Shugo work?
You add Shugo to your WhatsApp group and make it an admin. From there it watches new messages and removes the ones that break your rules: spam, scams, banned words, message floods, and forwarded-chain spam.
Does Shugo use AI to catch spam?
Yes. Every message runs through fast built-in checks first, and anything that looks suspicious gets a deeper AI review before Shugo decides what to do with it. Free includes 50 AI reviews a day, Pro includes 2,000.
Does a bot join my group?
Yes. You add Shugo and make it an admin so it can remove bad messages and members. Shugo only acts on the rules you set, only in the groups you add it to, and never touches your private chats. You can remove it anytime, and your own number is never linked.
Who is the Shugo account in my group?
Shugo joins as its own clearly labeled account, not a person. It doesn't chat, post, or message your members. Think of it as a quiet admin that only ever removes what breaks your rules.
Can I customize what gets removed?
Yes. Set your own banned words and turn protections like flood detection on or off, per group.
Can I review removed messages?
Yes. Every action Shugo takes appears in your dashboard log.
Can I see how active my group is?
Yes. Your dashboard shows your most active members, message and reaction counts, and a short AI-written summary of the week. You can also get that summary by email, once a week.
What permissions does it need?
Shugo needs to be a group admin, so it can delete messages and remove members. That is the only access it needs. It never asks for your password, and you can remove it anytime.
Is my data private?
Yes. You never link your own WhatsApp number, so we never hold your login. Shugo checks messages in the groups you add it to against your rules and keeps a short-lived copy to show you group insights. It never reads your private chats, and you can remove it anytime.
